Nova Zagora AreaThe town of Nova Zagora is situated on a unique crossroad connecting Northern Europe to the furthest points on the Balkans, and Western Europe to Asia. The region looks to the beautiful Thracian plain to the south of Nova Zagora, and to Sredna Gora Mountain to the north. Nova Zagora is 30 min to the southwest from the city of Sliven and 30 min to the east from the city of Stara Zagora. Sliven and Stara Zagora are two of the ten biggest cities in Bulgaria and provide plenty of amenities like restaurants, bars, shops, cinema, theaters, big supermarkets, etc. Nova Zagora itself is not that big a town (27,000 people population) but also has many bars, restaurants and shops. Nova Zagora has a strategical location in the eastern middle part of Bulgaria and is being crossed by the main highway Sofia-Plovdiv-Bourgas and the international road from Munich to Istanbul. Between Nova Zagora and Sliven there are mineral spas and near Sliven there is a golf course. Stara Zagora is a major cultural centre not only in the area but also in the whole south Bulgaria. The region of Nova Zagora is also a hunting and fishing area with multiple dams between the villages. Only 12 km to the north is the second biggest dam in Bulgaria Zhrebchevo hidden among the mountains, excellent for fishing, sunbathing and spending your leisure time. The area provides amazing panoramic views, fresh air, coolness in the forests during the summer. In the area between the Balkan mountain and Sredna Gora there is the “Valley of peaches” and the world famous “Valley of roses”, popular with rose – oil manufacturing and also with its beautiful nature. The whole region is traditionally agricultural, a big producer of fine wines and many cultures. The closest airport is in Burgas which is expected to become exploited all year round in a couple of years. It is 120 km to the east from Nova Zagora but the distance will become shorter thanks to the new highway “Thracia” which is planned to be completed within a coupleof years. About 50 km to the north of Nova Zagora is starting the reconstruction of a ski run and a new ski resort with a big potential for development. The whole region has a certificate for ecologically clean area. Thanks to all its advantages, the region of Nova Zagora is quickly developing with many investments being made during the passed few years from local and foreign investors. |
